It’s hard to believe that in just a few short days we’ll be in July. Time has really flown by! Summer is most definitely my favorite time of the year. I just wish that Mother Nature would make up her mind already. There have been so many ups and downs the past few months; no one seems to be sure what to wear day to day. With the warm weather kicking in again here in Toronto, I’ve been taking full advantage. It’s given me the opportunity to rediscover some great summer colors, along with my summer wardrobe.
I happened upon this adorable crop top last summer at Forever 21. From the polka dots to minty fresh color, it leaves you feeling fresh and chic. I personally adore a great white skirt, so when I found this particular one at H&M I had to have it. If you’ve had a difficult time making up your mind between a long or short skirt (for any occasion), opt for a midi length. I must say that H&M has recently been one of my favorite stores to shop. They have really upped their game and seem to always have something that catches my eye. If you’re in a bind and need an outfit at a great price, I absolutely recommend that you check them out!
Last but not least, if you happen to be on the hunt for some beautiful and colorful accessories, Kate Spade is the place to go. I instantly feel in love with this shade of coral. This bag really added the pop of color my outfit needed! As for the jewelry and shoes, I’ve kept them fairly minimum with these pearl earrings and bracelet and nude pumps.

Alert – Prepare to go bold! Graphic prints and patterns are back in
style in a big way. From printed skirts (like the one I’ve styled) to
patterned dresses and striped pants, there’s something for everyone.
It’s an easy way to liven up your wardrobe and there are also many
options for subtler patterns that make it easy to try this trend for the
faint of heart. I mostly appreciate how this trend celebrates big,
bold, colorful graphics as the main attraction. Previously we have seen
these prints as accents on a solid piece, so it is great that this trend
has really take on momentum this year. It’s also amazing to see the
vast number of different patterns being used. I’ve seen florals to
exotic to checkered prints in most, if not all stores in the past few
With how easy it is to make a statement with the graphic
print trend, a girl barely needs to try! This H&M skirt is
definitely a piece I will be throwing on throughout the summer. The
striking floral flourish is just so fun and as a bonus it’s great for
work or play. I think the next time I try this out I’ll fuse trends by
wearing this graphic floral with a bright neon top! For this look
however, I’ve kept in skirt focused with a black crop top from Mendocino
and these gorgeous heels from Vince Camuto. Need a new spring work
accessory? Pick up this little orange (!) shoulder bag that I happened
to find along with the skirt from H&M.
It is most
definitely the season of the print so go graphic babes! If you’re
feeling daring, clash your prints and break the rules. This makes for
the ultimate statement and if done right, it will be breathtaking. If
you want to stay ahead of the graphic print trend, try out the liquid
iridescent pattern which is sure to be next.

what to wear. What trends to watch out for and what one should avoid. There is
so much pressure to look amazing and sometimes it feels close to impossible to
find just the right outfit. In just a few short months I’ll be heading to a
wedding myself. I’ve been able to find a few options that are not too expensive.
This way the focus can be on what’s really important, the gift for the couple!
trend that will never fade and will forever be a classic is lace. It will keep
you looking and feeling fabulous and girly. I think we all need a go to lace
dress. Color blocking is a fun alternative if you are looking for something a
little more on the trendy side. I’ve seen numerous chic geometric styles this
season which will look amazing with a pair of towering heels! But if you’re
looking for a timeless design that can be recycled, the Henkaa dress has to be the
best investments a girl can make. Not only can you show off your creativity as
there are about a million and a half ways to wear this dress but you can also
pull it out for the whole (wedding) season.
a wedding. You have to be considerate and remember there is a time and place
for everything. So if you’re second guessing an outfit as it might be showing
off too much skin, it’s best to just avoid it. That being said, it’s still a
party so don’t dress as though you’re on your way to the office! Try for
something fun and flirty, it is summer after all. Lastly, never ever wear
white, unless you’re the bride (hahah). I know this may seem like a no brainer
but trust me, it happens.
you’re looking for that statement dress or an old faithful that you can pull
out from time to time, find something that sets you apart. I personally wanted
something unique and feel that I’ve found just that in this dress in particular.
I fell for the elaborate floral pattern and the low (but not too revealing)
back. From the flattering fit of the top to the over exaggerated skirt, this is
a dress that I’m glad to have as a part of my wardrobe. I finished my look off
with these minimalistic pieces of jewelry, a stylish clutch bag, and cute
heels. With that I’m good to go!
